Daegu Yellow Motel

The hotel is two alley walks from the middle of downtown Somdeok and less than or around a half mile walk to the subway. Easy access to whatever you need.

The room smelled of stale smoke, the walls were very thin and the bed was exceedingly hard. There were only 2 pillows and I wasn’t given an actual bath towel, just 3 hand towels.

Das Zimmer und der Flur rochen sehr stark nach Zigarettenrauch. Für Raucher sicher toll. Für Nichtraucher nicht zu empfehlen. Die Matratzen sind sehr hart.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The location was great. The (original) price was fair.

깨끗하고 편안한 호텔 그리고 엉망이고 진정성도 의심이 되는 서비스, 호텔을 카드로 예약했는데 결제가 안되서 취소됬다는 이메일을 받아서 호텔로 전화했더니 예약이 정상적으로 진행됬다는 답변을 받았는데.. 호텔에 도착해서 예약번호를 말했더니 갑자기 3만원이 더 추가된 8만원을 불렀습니다. 호텔측이 설명한 이유인즉슨 제가 예약을 진행했던 Booking.com에서 실수를 해서 가격이 제대로 홈페이지에 반영이 안되서 그렇다고 하면서 홈페이지에서부터 예약이 취소됬다는 문자를 보여줬는데, 이럴거면 왜 제가 전화를 했을때 예약이 제대로 됬다고 컨펌했는지도 모르겠고, 부킹 홈페이지에서 무엇을 실수하였길래 3만원이 더 추가되는지도 모르겠구요. (그리고 그걸 왜 제가 내야되죠?) 더 웃긴건 그러면 결국 30분 먼저 호텔에 도착했으니까 Early Check-in 가격인 6만원만 받겠다고 말하길래 제가 그럼 30분뒤에 다시 와서 예약으로 진행한 원래 가격인 5만원으로 방을 잡겠다고 하니까 갑자기 어디를 전화하더니 영어를 조금 더 잘하는 사람이 와서 체크인 타임이랑 상관없이 6만원 가격은 확정이라고 하더라고요. 호텔은 깨끗하고 편안했지만 외국인이라고 그런건진 모르겠지만 이건 진짜 아니네요. 1.Booking.com에서 카드로 예약했는데 이메일로 취소연락받아서 호텔측으로 전화했더니 예약 정상적으로 확인해줌 2.그러나 호텔에 도착하니 예약은 취소가 됬고 가격은 8만원이라고 함. 그래서 호텔이랑 예약 확인한걸 말했더니, 그럼 30분먼저 왔으니까 만원을 더해서 6만원만 내라고 함 3.그럼 30분뒤에 다시 오겠다하니까 어디를 전화하더니 다른 사람이 와서 6만원은 무조건이라고 함. 한국어 못하는 외국인이라고 이렇게 대하는건 정말 아니라고 생각해서 리뷰 올립니다. After I had booked with the hotel I received an email saying they wanted to cancel my reservation because they had not received a prepayment. However when I phoned the hotel, they confirmed that my reservation was ok and that I could pay on the day. When I arrived at the hotel they quoted me a new price of 80,000 won for 1 night (30,000 won more expensive than the original price agreed). When I asked why, they said booking.com had made a mistake with the price listings. However I've never experienced this issue with booking.com. The hotel also showed me a message they sent saying my reservation had been cancelled. I never received this message and my reservation had not been officially cancelled by them to my knowledge. I asked them to honour the price originally agreed and they then quoted me a price of 60,000 won for an early check in. I said I would wait 30 minutes so I could pay the original price. Then they phoned someone who could speak English a little better and they said I'd have to pay a price of 60,000 won regardless of check in time.

처음에는 편리한 교통과 위치 때문에 이 곳을 숙소로 택했습니다. 그러나 일정이 변경되어 숙소예약을 변경해야될 때 정말 잘 도와주신 점, 입실 후에도 계속 신경써주신 점 등이 감동 안할 수가 없었습니다. 숙소 자체도 편안했고, 청결유지도 있는동안 계속 해주셨고... 진심으로 감사드립니다!
